Lifetime Replacement Warranty
Every Citadel safe body is covered by a Lifetime Replacement Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship — for the life of the product. The steel outlives the truck. If it ever fails from a defect, we replace it.
1. What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects in the steel body, welds, hinge, and powder-coat finish of your Citadel safe that arise under normal use and proper installation. Coverage lasts for the lifetime of the original purchaser.
2. What Is Not Covered
- Damage from misuse, abuse, improper installation, modification, or force majeure (fire, flood, accident)
- Cosmetic scratches, dents, or finish wear from normal use
- Damage from attempted or actual break-ins (a safe that shows evidence of an attack has done its job)
- Locks — see Section 3 below
- Products not purchased directly from Citadel Safes or an authorized dealer
3. Lock Warranty
Locks (4-Digit Combi-Cam, 7-Sided Tubular Key, Abloy®, and Electronic Keypad) carry a separate 1-year manufacturer warranty against defects. Lost keys or forgotten combinations are not covered, but lockout assistance is available — contact us for support.
4. How to File a Claim
To file a warranty claim, contact us with your order number and a description and photos of the defect:
We will evaluate your claim and, if approved, repair or replace the product at our discretion. Approved warranty replacements ship at no cost to you within the lower 48 states.
5. Registration
Warranty registration is recommended but not required. Register your safe on the Support page to speed up any future claim.
6. Legacy Product Support
This warranty applies to products manufactured and sold under the Citadel Safes name. For warranty questions regarding prior purchases, please contact us and we will assist you.
7. Limitations
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Citadel Safes is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties, so the above may not apply to you.
